Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
• Develop secure high-quality production code and perform code reviews
• Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams regarding architectural designs
• Lead communities of practice to drive awareness of leading-edge technologies
• Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices
• Apply knowledge of SDLC toolchains and automation capabilities

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience
• Advanced proficiency in one or more languages such as Java, JavaScript, React, or Python
• Experience with two or more: web development, databases, Unix/Linux, distributed systems, networking, Kafka, Kubernetes, Microservices, or Terraform
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery (CI/CD)
• Practical cloud-native experience with AWS certification
• Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted software development tools
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IBM Netcool/OMNIbus
• Experience with Cloud-based AIOps applications like ServiceNow or IBM CloudPak
• Knowledge of Observability products such as SCOM, SMARTS, or IBM Tivoli
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Ansible
• Experience with Splunk, Oracle, or DynaTrace
