Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality production code for Consumer & Community Banking products.
• Execute creative software solutions and technical troubleshooting to solve complex architectural problems.
• Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.
• Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
• Lead communities of practice to drive awareness and adoption of leading-edge technologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training in software engineering concepts.
• Advanced proficiency in Java and AWS.
• Expertise in Microservices using SpringBoot, Kafka, and CassandraDB.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and cloud-native development.
• Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted software development tools for coding, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
• Proficiency in CI/CD, automation, and agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
• Additional exposure to various cloud technologies.
• Direct experience with application development specifically on AWS.
