Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate highly scalable, resilient, and cloud-native backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and conduct thorough code reviews and debugging.
• Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
• Lead technical evaluations of external vendors and internal architectural designs.
• Lead communities of practice to drive awareness of leading-edge technologies across the organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification.
• Advanced proficiency in Java programming.
• Hands-on experience with system design, application development, and testing.
• Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and Agile methodologies.
• Experience designing, deploying, and managing containerized applications using Kubernetes.
• Practical experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GitHub Co-Pilot or similar AI-assisted development tools.
• AWS Solutions Architect certification.
• Familiarity with the Spring Boot framework.
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
