Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and direction to business teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Drive the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform rigorous code reviews and debugging.
• Influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations through expert decision-making.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and advocate for firmwide frameworks, tools, and SDLC practices.
• Promote a team culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect.

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification.
• Advanced proficiency in Java (Java 17+) and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate, JMS).
• Hands-on experience implementing Agentic AI solutions using Claude, Co-pilot, or other LLMs.
• Strong experience with AWS and both Relational (Oracle) and No-SQL databases.
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead the safe and compliant adoption of AI-assisted development tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies such as React and Micro Frontend Architecture.
• Strong analytical thinking and complex problem-solving abilities.
