Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver cloud-native, microservices-based applications using Java and AWS.
• Execute creative software solutions and technical troubleshooting to solve complex problems.
• Build secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging.
• Implement scalable architectural patterns to ensure zero-downtime releases and high availability.
• Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
• Lead communities of practice to drive the adoption of new and leading-edge technologies.
• Use domain modeling techniques to structure software for clarity, testability, and evolution.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including system design and application development.
• Proficiency in back-end technologies such as Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience building microservices-based applications and working with RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and distributed systems.
• Experience designing and building scalable applications using both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Knowledge of application resiliency and security best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS certification.
• Experience working within the banking or financial services domain.
• Strong soft skills, including mentoring, stakeholder management, and presentation abilities.
• Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills.
