Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting to solve complex problems.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for team members.
• Create user interfaces and interactive features for web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to drive architectural design and technical applicability.
• Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive the adoption of leading-edge technologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification.
• Hands-on experience in microservices development using Java, Spring Boot, or Python.
• Experience with cloud technologies, distributed systems, and RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in designing and building enterprise-scale data processing applications using SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Advanced proficiency in front-end languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end languages (Java, Spring, Python).
• Strong understanding of Agile/SCRUM methodologies, CI/CD, and the full Software Development Life Cycle.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing end-to-end projects from requirements scoping to successful launch.
• AWS Developer or Solution Architect Certification.
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
• Proficiency with modern JavaScript frameworks and tools such as React, TypeScript, Jest, or Cypress.
• Experience with artificial intelligence, machine learning frameworks, or observability tools like Splunk and Grafana.
