- Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
- Develop secure high-quality production code and perform code reviews
- Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability
- Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams regarding architectural designs
- Lead communities of practice to drive awareness of leading-edge technologies
- Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices
- Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge to improve automation value
Requirements
- 5+ years of applied software engineering experience
- Advanced Java programming skills
- Strong experience with Spring Boot and Kafka messaging
- Experience delivering system design, application development, and testing
- Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted software development tools
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows
- Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, and security
- In-depth knowledge of financial services industry IT systems
- Practical cloud native experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Relational database design experience with Oracle
- Experience designing high-throughput and resilient applications
- Experience with Elasticsearch
