Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Execute creative software solutions, design, and technical troubleshooting to build scalable products.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging.
• Create user interfaces and interactive features for web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams regarding architectural designs.
• Drive awareness and use of leading-edge technologies by leading communities of practice.

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience and formal training in software concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Microservices development using Java, Spring Boot, or Python.
• Proficiency with cloud technologies, distributed systems, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience designing and building enterprise-scale data processing applications using SQL and NoSQL.
• Advanced proficiency in front-end languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end languages.
• Strong understanding of Agile/SCRUM methodologies and CI/CD automation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing full project lifecycles from requirements scoping to launch.
• AWS Developer or Solutions Architect Certification.
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
• Proficiency with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, TypeScript) and testing tools (Jest, Cypress).
• Experience with artificial intelligence, machine learning, or observability tools like Splunk and Grafana.
