Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Identify complex problems and propose scalable solutions within the lending domain
• Use domain modeling techniques to build best-in-class business products
• Structure software for easy understanding, testing, and long-term evolution
• Build scalable, secure solutions that avoid single points of failure
• Develop secure code to protect customers and the organization from malicious actors
• Investigate and resolve technical issues promptly to ensure zero downtime during releases
• Monitor system performance and implement proactive problem-solving approaches

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience
• Extensive expertise in back-end engineering and JVM languages (Java, Scala, or Kotlin)
• Strong experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
• Proficiency with distributed systems and cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Hands-on experience with relational databases and dependency injection frameworks (Spring/SpringBoot)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automating deployment, releases, and testing
• Knowledge of data streaming and messaging frameworks such as Kafka or Spark
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Professional experience working in an agile, customer-facing environment
• Direct experience in the lending domain

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to coach team members on coding practices, design principles, and implementation patterns
• Experience working within geographically distributed teams
• Strong technical curiosity and a solution-oriented mindset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
