Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Identify complex problems and propose scalable solutions within the lending domain
• Use domain modeling techniques to build best-in-class business products
• Structure software for easy understanding, testing, and long-term evolution
• Build scalable, secure solutions that avoid single points of failure
• Develop secure code to protect customers and the organization from malicious actors
• Investigate and fix issues promptly to ensure zero downtime during releases
• Monitor system performance and use distributed tracing to solve technical issues

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification
• Proficiency in JVM languages such as Java (8+), Scala, or Kotlin
• Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines and automating deployment and testing
• Strong background in back-end engineering with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Knowledge of data streaming and messaging frameworks like Kafka or Spark
• Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
• Understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and microservices architecture
• Experience working within the lending domain

• Ability to coach team members on coding practices and design principles
• Experience working in a dynamic, agile, and geographically distributed team
• Strong technical curiosity and a solution-oriented mindset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
