Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality production code for the Consumer & Community Banking Import Aggregation Team.
• Lead technical troubleshooting and implement creative software solutions to solve complex technical problems.
• Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and direction to team members to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams regarding architectural designs and technical applicability.
• Influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations within an agile environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Java, RESTful Services, Microservices, and Spring Boot.
• Practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and maintaining operational stability.
• Familiarity with database technologies including SQL and NoSQL, as well as cloud platforms like AWS.
• Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Demonstrated experience leading the use of AI-assisted software development tools for coding, review, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies, application resiliency, and security.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with modern front-end technologies such as React or Angular.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps technologies including GitHub and Jenkins.
• Exposure to Kafka, Cassandra, and Cloud Micro-service development.
• Ability to serve as a subject matter expert in specific technical focus areas.
