Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of entry-level to mid-level software engineers.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging.
• Drive the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Apply AI-assisted development and automation capabilities across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations.
• Act as a subject matter expert and advocate for agility, firmwide frameworks, and modern engineering tools.

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification.
• Proven experience in coaching and mentoring engineers.
• Full stack development expertise using Java, Spring, and Hibernate.
• Hands-on experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Practical cloud-native experience, specifically with AWS.
• Proficiency in CI/CD, automation, and all aspects of the SDLC, including QA automation.
• Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) and understanding responsible AI use.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience communicating and engaging with senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, application resiliency, and security.
• Familiarity with API and Microservices frameworks.
