Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality production code using Java and AWS.
• Execute creative software solutions and technical troubleshooting to solve complex problems.
• Drive team adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams regarding architectural designs and technical credentials.
• Lead communities of practice to drive awareness and use of leading-edge technologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification.
• Advanced expertise in Java programming.
• Experience developing and supporting REST API interfaces using SpringBoot and Swagger.
• Proficiency in working with both SQL and NoSQL technologies.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Proven experience working with highly distributed systems and the full Software Development Life Cycle.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI-assisted software development tools responsibly and effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on knowledge of AWS and Cassandra.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python or Groovy.
