Lead Software Engineer (Java)

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, large-scale, and companywide technology initiatives with significant business impact.
• Design, develop, test, and document enterprise software applications using Java and related technologies.
• Utilize technologies including Java, Spring, Kafka, Messaging Queues, SQL, and AWS.
• Define and drive engineering standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines for scalable systems.
• Install, configure, and maintain software, tools, libraries, and frameworks to optimize performance.
• Review complex technology solutions against strategic business objectives and enterprise environments.
• Create technical design documents, including interface and integration specifications.
• Perform system testing, participate in code reviews, and conduct technical evaluations.
• Mentor peers and guide engineering teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Collaborate with senior technology leaders and subject matter experts to resolve technical challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or an equivalent field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering or a related role.
• Proven experience with Java and enterprise-level application design.
• Ability to travel to unanticipated client locations within the US as required.
