Lead Software Engineer - Java

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate agent-based systems and Large Language Models (LLMs) within Java applications.
• Execute creative software solutions, technical troubleshooting, and high-quality production code development.
• Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.
• Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
• Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness of leading-edge technologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training in software engineering concepts.
• Proficiency with the Spring Framework, RESTful APIs, and Microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL or Oracle.
• Strong expertise in CI/CD, automation, and continuous delivery methods.
• Practical experience with cloud-native development and agile methodologies.
• Demonstrated proficiency in using AI-assisted software development tools for coding, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of responsible AI use, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with caching solutions.
• Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Experience in UNIX and scripting languages such as Shell or Perl.
• Extensive Cloud Development experience.
