Lead Software Engineer - Java Fullstack

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality production code using an agile approach.
• Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Execute technical troubleshooting and creative software solutions to solve complex technical problems.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.
• Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
• Lead communities of practice to drive awareness and adoption of leading-edge technologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficiency in Java, AWS, Python, Pyspark, Spring Boot, ReactJS, and Javascript.
• Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted software development tools for coding, review, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, cloud-native development, and application resiliency.
• In-depth knowledge of financial services industry IT systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Agile and SRE culture.
• Working knowledge of NoSQL database technologies, preferably Apache Cassandra.
• Working knowledge of messaging technologies, preferably Apache Kafka.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and ensuring smooth integration across services.
