Lead Software Engineer - Java Full Stack (Java, React)

Responsibilities

• Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting to solve complex problems.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for team members.
• Identify and automate remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software applications.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.
• Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness of leading-edge technologies.
• Contribute to a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Expertise in agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted software development tools for coding, review, and troubleshooting.
• Proven experience in team leadership roles.
• Practical experience with cloud-native technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a Full Stack Java developer.
• Proficiency in designing and building cloud-native applications.
• Knowledge of AI and Large Language Models (LLM).
