Lead Software Engineer - Java Full Stack Engineering

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver secure, scalable, and market-leading technology products within an agile team.
• Execute creative software solutions and technical troubleshooting to solve complex problems.
• Develop high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for team members.
• Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
• Lead communities of practice to drive the adoption of new and leading-edge technologies.
• Drive the adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Evaluate external vendors and internal architectural designs to ensure technical applicability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience and formal training in software engineering concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and REST Services.
• Strong expertise in writing complex SQL queries, PL/SQL, functions, and stored procedures.
• Extensive experience with public cloud technologies including AWS, Kubernetes, ECS, S3, and Lambda.
• Proficiency in infrastructure automation using Terraform.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs for enterprise-scale applications.
• Proficiency in unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
• Knowledge of messaging platforms like Apache Kafka.
• Experience building decoupled systems using object-oriented principles and design patterns.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies such as React JS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Experience with SQL performance tuning, JDBC, and ORM frameworks like Hibernate or JPA.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, containerization, and orchestration.
• Exposure to AI systems such as Copilot or Claude.
