Lead Software Engineer, Java, Equities Derivatives Front Office Flow Technology

Responsibilities

• Develop Java services integrated into the end-to-end processing of derivative products
• Build C#/WPF and JavaScript front-end desktop applications to interface with Java services
• Design and code robust, secure, and efficient APIs to implement business logic and data persistence
• Build stable, efficient, and scalable cloud-based solutions for global deployment
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, traders, and quantitative researchers to meet business requirements
• Participate in code reviews and share technical knowledge with the global team

Requirements

• Solid experience with JAVA
• Strong Object-Oriented (OO) design skills with knowledge of design patterns
• Experience with the development, deployment, and maintenance of service-oriented applications
• Full project lifecycle experience, including requirement breakdown and effort estimation
• Proficiency in unit testing and a disciplined approach to code management
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, global team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of C#, WPF, .NET, ReactJS, or JavaScript
• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, or Docker
• Understanding of derivative products (e.g., vanilla options, variance swaps) and risk exposure (Greeks)
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) processes
• Exposure to NoSQL systems like Cassandra or MongoDB
