Lead Software Engineer - Java AWS

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver secure, scalable, and market-leading technology products within the Trust & Security Identity team.
• Execute creative software solutions and technical troubleshooting to solve complex architectural problems.
• Develop high-quality production code and perform rigorous code reviews and debugging.
• Identify and automate remediation for recurring issues to improve operational stability.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to drive architectural improvements.
• Drive awareness and adoption of leading-edge technologies through communities of practice.

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training in software engineering concepts.
• Advanced expertise in Java, AWS, Microservices, and SpringBoot.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, CassandraDB, CockroachDB, and Terraform.
• Strong proficiency in cloud-native technologies and continuous delivery (CI/CD) methods.
• Deep understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Experience with application resiliency and security protocols.
• In-depth knowledge of financial services industry IT systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
• Practical exposure to various cloud technologies.
• Direct experience with application development specifically on AWS.
