Lead Software Engineer Java AWS

Responsibilities

• Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting to solve complex problems.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for team members.
• Identify opportunities to automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical applicability.
• Drive awareness and adoption of leading-edge technologies by leading communities of practice across Software Engineering.
• Contribute to a team culture centered on diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification.
• Advanced technical skills in Java and AWS.
• Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong expertise in agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Hands-on experience with automation, continuous delivery, and cloud-native development.
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its associated IT systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Practical exposure to a wide range of AWS cloud technologies.
