Lead Software Engineer, ITC

Responsibilities

• Build, scale, and operate reliable software platforms and services for Nike's Global Places & Services (GPS) and Brand Acceleration and Automation Technology (BAAT) portfolios.
• Design and evolve high-availability, scalable backend systems and shared services.
• Own production reliability, performance, and availability, including defining and monitoring SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.
• Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and long-term remediation for mission-critical systems.
• Build and maintain automation-first platforms using CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.
• Drive cloud cost optimization and embed security and compliance controls into system design.
• Mentor and coach engineers through design reviews, pairing, and technical guidance.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with senior or lead-level responsibilities.
• Expertise in cloud infrastructure and designing distributed, production-grade systems.
• Site reliability engineering (SRE) expertise and experience supporting 24x7 production environments.
• Mastery of infrastructure-as-code and hands-on expertise with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Proven ability to lead technically across teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
• Strong communication skills to translate complex technical topics for diverse audiences.
