Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction and oversee delivery of high-risk, ill-defined software and infrastructure projects
• Design and develop reliable, production-grade ML systems and justify architectural decisions
• Develop clear, comprehensively scoped roadmaps for novel solutions and estimate effort for large workstreams
• Engage with technical and non-technical customers to provide credible engineering advice
• Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and across the engineering community
• Coach team members and drive the development of shared organizational resources and libraries
• Lead hiring, selection, and mentoring for individuals and managers

Requirements

• Recognized technical expert in code quality and solution design
• Expert-level experience in at least one major Cloud Solution Provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Proven experience leading teams to build full-stack web applications
• Proven leadership experience managing other managers and setting team-wide goals
• Strong communication skills to defend technical rationales to senior stakeholders
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to new technologies
