Lead Software Engineer (Embedded)

Responsibilities

• Lead software engineering development by providing guidance and direction to software engineers
• Utilize Agile methodologies to lead meetings, track issues, and synchronize development schedules
• Design software based on requirements and system-level design documents
• Apply computer science and mathematical principles to develop software for embedded hardware
• Implement software for embedded Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) using C++
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate interfaces between hardware, firmware, and software
• Investigate root causes of complex issues and implement solutions
• Support all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements, design, and integration
• Develop software test plans, procedures, and technical documentation
• Participate in peer reviews and defect repair

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with 9 years of experience (or Master's with 7 years, or 13 years of related experience)
• Active US Secret Security Clearance
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in computer/software engineering
• Minimum of 8 years of professional C++ development
• Minimum of 3 years leading software development teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing and testing real-time embedded software
• Familiarity with Greenhills RTOS
• Experience developing device drivers and Board Support Packages (BSPs)
• Proficiency with Modern C++ techniques
• Experience as an Agile ScrumMaster or Product Owner
• Working knowledge of Linux
