Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical expert for critical applications utilized by DTCC
• Design, develop, and test software systems and applications to solve complex business problems
• Partner with Business Analysts and Infrastructure teams to ensure designs meet functional requirements and optimal hosting needs
• Tune application performance and research technical solutions consistent with company standards
• Support development teams through troubleshooting, testing, and production support
• Implement risk and control processes into daily engineering tasks to mitigate operational risk
• Contribute to the maturation of CI/CD pipelines and continuous delivery processes

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience delivering production-ready solutions
• Strong Snowflake expertise, including SQL development, data modeling, and performance optimization
• Proficiency in Core Java, specifically regarding multithreading, concurrency, and backend services
• Proven experience supporting production environments, including incident response and monitoring
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery teams
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with modern cloud platforms such as AWS
• Proficiency in Python for automation, scripting, or data processing
• Experience with Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and business continuity testing
• Background in improving observability, alerting, and system monitoring
• Experience mentoring junior engineers in a collaborative team environment
