Lead Software Engineer - DevOps Specialist - Electronic Trading Integration

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable DevOps solutions and CI/CD pipelines to support electronic trading integration.
• Develop Python-based automation, tooling, and platform integrations.
• Deploy and support cloud-native applications using AWS and Kubernetes.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Integrate trading applications, FIX platforms, and market-facing systems.
• Improve platform reliability, observability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Partner with engineering and trading technology teams to automate and modernize infrastructure.
• Drive DevOps best practices and lead communities of practice across Software Engineering.

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience.
• Advanced Python programming skills.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration and Bash/Shell scripting expertise.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline development (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Proficiency with AWS cloud services.
• Experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes or Docker.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible).
• Electronic trading or front-office technology experience.
• Working knowledge of FIX Protocol, market connectivity, and order lifecycle workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with OMS/EMS platforms and exchange connectivity.
• Knowledge of Capital Markets.
• Experience with QuickFIX or QuickFIX-J.
• Background in low-latency or algorithmic trading systems.
• Proficiency with monitoring tools like Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Datadog, or Geneos.
• Experience with Java or C++.
