Lead Software Engineer - Cloud Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cloud-native services to support Chase UK using Golang, AWS, Kubernetes, and Kafka
• Maintain AWS cloud infrastructure to ensure 24/7 stability, performance, security, and compliance
• Manage and improve connectivity between AWS accounts, Chase systems, and third-party providers
• Maintain existing deployment pipelines and migrate to strategic CI/CD tooling using Bash, Python, or Go
• Provide a cloud platform for application developers to improve their SDLC and developer experience
• Act as a key owner for specific applications, ensuring all documentation and compliance standards are met
• Participate in the on-call rotation to support platform reliability

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied experience developing and maintaining applications in a public cloud environment (AWS)
• Proven experience managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Strong knowledge of AWS Networking and Kubernetes cluster operations (EKS)
• Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python or Go
• Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines covering the full SDLC
• Deep understanding of DevOps principles and SDLC best practices
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with software engineering security best practices within cloud environments
• Experience developing unit, integration, and end-to-end software tests
