Lead Software Engineer (Backend)

Responsibilities

• Architect solutions and drive technical excellence across cloud-native platforms
• Derive actionable engineering requirements from customer and product needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business-critical features
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level engineers
• Own the reliability, scalability, maintainability, and performance of critical production systems
• Contribute to the long-term technical vision and roadmap

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Computer Science or related fields
• 5+ years of industry experience
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, micro-service architectures, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems
• Extensive experience in Cloud/IaaC Infrastructure and Tooling, preferably AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, AWS Batch, DynamoDB, CloudFormation/CDK)
• Proven track record of designing and maintaining high-performance services
• Experience leading technical design and architecture discussions
• Champion of engineering best practices including CI/CD, monitoring, and testing

Preferred Qualifications

• Production experience with Docker and containerized applications
• Experience with near real-time/real-time analytics and time series databases
• Experience with MQTT
