Lead Software Engineer - Back-end Engineer

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end solutions using cloud-native microservices architecture and industry best practices
• Use domain modelling techniques to build high-quality business products
• Structure software to be easily understandable, testable, and evolvable
• Build scalable architectural patterns that avoid single points of failure
• Develop secure code to protect customers and the organization from malicious actors
• Investigate and resolve technical issues promptly to prevent recurrence
• Ensure zero-downtime releases and optimize data read/write performance
• Support products through their entire lifecycle, including production and incident management
• Coach team members on coding practices, design principles, and implementation patterns

Requirements

• Recent hands-on professional experience as a back-end software engineer
• Proficiency in coding with recent versions of the Java programming language
• Experience with cloud technologies, distributed systems, and RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of messaging frameworks and web technologies
• Understanding of various data stores, including relational databases
• Experience designing and implementing effective tests (unit, component, integration, end-to-end, and performance)
• Experience operating and securing mission-critical software applications
• Strong ability to manage stakeholders and prioritize work across multiple streams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within a highly regulated industry
• Proven experience with cloud-native microservices architecture
• Proficiency with AWS cloud technologies
