Lead Software Engineer, Back End

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers focused on distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
• Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive financial empowerment for customers.
• Mentor members of the engineering community and stay at the forefront of emerging technology trends.
• Utilize a variety of tools including Python, Java, SQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS to build scalable solutions.
• Participate in internal and external technology communities and contribute to code evaluations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.
• At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience (internship experience does not apply).
• At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud).

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree.
• 7+ years of experience in Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js.
• 2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
• 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks.
• 1+ years of people management experience.
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.
• Experience leveraging interactive AI tooling to accelerate productivity.
