Lead Software Engineer - Android

Responsibilities

• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex Android applications to ensure design constraints are met.
• Translate business requirements into efficient, secure, and scalable code using Kotlin and modern Android frameworks.
• Proactively identify patterns in data to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Utilize unit and functional testing libraries like Mockito and Espresso to ensure application stability.
• Apply architectural patterns such as MVP and MVVM, and leverage build systems like Gradle and Jenkins.
• Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and explore emerging mobile technologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience.
• Proven expertise in system design, application development, and testing.
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
• Practical experience with cloud-native technologies.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Jetpack Compose, RxJava, LiveData, and RESTful API integration.
• Ability to perform mobile application profiling for memory, thread, and heap analysis.
• Experience managing large codebases and shared libraries for apps in the Google Play Store.
• Strong understanding of data structures, multithreading, and distributed systems.
• Experience building localized, multi-tenant solutions.
