Lead Software Engineer, AI & Robotics Test Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain a modular, scalable test execution engine using Python and C++
• Build automated pipelines for testing non-deterministic machine learning models
• Integrate test frameworks with physics engines for E2E simulation orchestration
• Develop software layers to control Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) rigs and profiling tools
• Package test frameworks for factory floor use via GUIs and automated scripts
• Enforce Design for Testability (DFT) standards during cross-functional design reviews
• Mentor developers on automated testing best practices

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or equivalent
• 6+ years of software engineering experience in test infrastructure or CI/CD tooling
• Expert-level Python (OOP, Pytest) and strong C++ proficiency (Google Test, Catch2)
• Deep experience with Linux, bash scripting, and Docker
• Proven experience with modern CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Buildkite)
• Strong systems-level thinking and hardware intuition
• Familiarity with testing AI/ML models or non-deterministic systems
• Ability to work onsite 5 days/week in Milpitas, CA

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with robotics middleware like ROS 2 or eCAL
• Experience building test reporting dashboards using Grafana or Foxglove
