Lead Software Engineer – AI Operators

Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural evolution of AI operators and kernel modules to maximize performance on custom ISA-based hardware.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance kernel-level code using C/C++ and assembly.
• Drive proof of concepts for new operators and solutions to improve the software stack's stability and performance.
• Utilize advanced profiling and debugging tools to diagnose and resolve complex performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with hardware architects, compiler teams, and application developers to ensure seamless system integration.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams to ensure timely project delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in kernel or low-level systems software development.
• Expertise in C/C++ and proficiency in assembly language for specialized ISA implementations.
• Deep knowledge of OS internals, memory management, and process scheduling.
• Strong experience with kernel debugging and profiling tools such as GDB.
• Proven track record of leading technical projects and mentoring engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a relevant technical field.
• Experience with AI/ML operator development or specialized compiler optimizations.
• Exposure to hardware/software co-design and emerging trends in AI hardware acceleration.
