Lead Software Developer

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, debug, and fix customer defects for Data Center routing and switching platforms as an individual contributor.
• Work with the core development team to expedite root cause analysis (RCA) of customer issues.
• Accept customer escalations and triage case data to produce mitigation plans.
• Update JIRA tickets and escalation threads with RCA information to meet severity-bound SLAs.
• Interact with Level 2 and Level 3 customer-facing teams to troubleshoot issues live in customer networks when required.
• Work on feature enhancements for patch releases.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Computer Science (CS).
• 12+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expert programming skills in C/C++.
• Strong technical background in Layer 2 and Layer 3 forwarding.
• Solid background in management systems, specifically NetConf and gNMI.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Proficiency with GIT and JIRA.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with Product Management, Field Teams, and Development teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity and hands-on experience with Docker or Kubernetes-based development environments.
• Exposure to microservices architecture.
