Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Champion site reliability culture and practices, exerting technical influence across the team.
• Lead initiatives to improve application and platform stability using data-driven analytics and service level objectives (SLOs).
• Conduct resiliency design reviews and break down complex technical problems into actionable tasks for engineers.
• Act as the primary point of contact during major incidents to ensure rapid resolution and minimize financial impact.
• Implement AI-assisted reliability workflows to accelerate incident triage, troubleshooting, and post-incident analysis.
• Mentor other engineers and document technical knowledge within internal forums and communities of practice.

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience.
• Formal training or certification in SRE concepts.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java (Spring Boot), or .NET.
• Deep experience with observability tools and telemetry collection (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, or Splunk).
• Proficiency with CI/CD and infrastructure tools, including Jenkins, GitLab, and Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, or ECS.
• Strong networking troubleshooting skills and understanding of enterprise system architecture.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI capabilities to improve operational workflows while maintaining security and data sensitivity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with AWS cloud technologies, including deployment and optimization of cloud-based applications.
• Experience with Open Telemetry.
• Strong problem-solving skills related to complex data structures and algorithms.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across different stakeholder groups and technical levels.
