Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the long-term infrastructure vision and roadmap
• Guide a small, high-performing team of SRE engineers
• Design and maintain distributed databases at large scale using ScyllaDB
• Design high throughput monitoring infrastructure to handle 1M+ series per second
• Automate all manual steps including monitoring dashboards and cluster management
• Implement automated Kubernetes Pod Autoscaler to optimize CPU usage and costs
• Partner with backend engineers and infrastructure providers like GCP, ScyllaDB, and Redpanda
• Build CI/CD pipelines and develop new tools to support company growth

Requirements

• Strong understanding of system architecture and software development
• Proficiency in a low-level language, ideally Rust or Go
• Strong knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Proficiency in cloud platforms, specifically AWS and/or GCP
• Proven success in scaling high-traffic production environments
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to cross-functional teams
