Lead/Senior Cost Manager (Pre-contract)

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-contract cost management responsibilities for commercial real estate projects
• Provide expert advice on cost-effective solutions and value engineering
• Conduct risk assessments and manage contingency budgets appropriately
• Prepare regular project reports highlighting budget deviations
• Review and analyze project costs, including preliminaries, overheads, and materials
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory bodies
• Mentor and train junior cost managers
• Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary stakeholders to ensure effective project management

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in cost management with a strong focus on pre-contract stages
• Proficiency in cost planning, estimating, and tender documentation
• Strong understanding of measurement methods such as NRM, POMI, or CESMM
• Skilled in using measurement software like CostX or similar tools
• Proven ability to lead multiple projects independently and manage client relationships
• Professional accreditation (MRICS, AIQS, or equivalent) is highly preferred
• GCC/UAE market experience is considered an advantage
