Lead Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own application and product security end to end, including threat modeling, secure design, and code review.
• Build the security function from the ground up by setting the roadmap, establishing best practices, and choosing tooling.
• Find, prioritize, and drive remediation of vulnerabilities across the product and infrastructure.
• Support cloud and infrastructure hardening, including IAM, secrets, network, and Kubernetes.
• Assist with logging, detection, incident response, and the security foundations for compliance efforts like SOC 2.
• Embed security into the engineering culture to ensure the team can move fast but securely.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in security engineering.
• Deep expertise in application and product security.
• Proven track record of building or substantially shaping a security program.
• Strong engineering fundamentals with the ability to read and write production code.
• Experience working in an early-stage or fast-growing company.
• Ability to communicate technical risk clearly to engineers, leadership, and customers.
