Lead Sales Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical sales support for IT Infrastructure hosting services including data center, security, network, and cloud.
• Prepare customer presentations, architectural designs, and bid responses.
• Perform consultative, solutions-based design for Internet-centric business clients.
• Present hosting and network capabilities to customers and prospects.
• Provide technical training for the sales force and sales support personnel.
• Work with Product Management to drive product enhancements based on customer requirements.
• Provide implementation guidance to installation personnel through diagrams and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, MIS, Computer Science, Telecom, or equivalent experience.
• 5 to 10 years of experience as a Solutions Engineer or Managed Hosting Support engineer.
• Demonstrated understanding of hosting, network, security, cloud/virtualization, and storage solutions.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Visio.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Experience performing needs assessments and documenting solution components.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with hosted voice applications, conference calling, and disaster recovery.
• Experience designing distributed, high availability server-based network computing infrastructures.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, UNIX, or Solaris operating systems.
• Knowledge of data center environmental facilities including power distribution and cooling.
• Web application design experience with IIS, Apache, or Java.
