Lead Sales Associate

Responsibilities

• Support daily retail operations, including restocking merchandise, setting up displays, and maintaining a clean, organized sales floor.
• Guide, motivate, and assist in training the volunteer workforce to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
• Manage incoming donations by receiving items, assisting donors, and issuing receipts in accordance with organizational procedures.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and assist customers with transactions and carry-out support.
• Assist leadership with strategic initiatives, loyalty programs, promotional events, and social media content creation.
• Communicate the American Cancer Society mission and available community services to customers and donors.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of prior retail or service industry experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Teams, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to learn and utilize retail software and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience (e.g., key holder, team lead, or supervisor).
• Some college coursework in business, mathematics, or economics.
• Valid driver’s license.
