Lead RF/Wireless Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture definition and design of L band RF systems for military GPS electronics
• Derive technical requirements from customer specifications and flow them down to software, ASIC, and test teams
• Oversee the development of qualification test plans to ensure solutions meet all customer requirements
• Collaborate with subject matter experts in GPS signal processing, anti-jam technology, and hardware design
• Manage technical solutions within program budgets and schedules in coordination with project management
• Support cross-functional teams through root cause analysis and design reviews

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience (or Graduate Degree with 7 years)
• 6 years of strong experience in RF, receiver, antenna, or radio design
• 5 years of experience with schematic design and PCBA layout using Altium or Mentor Graphics
• 4 years of experience with embedded hardware design
• 2 years of experience with FPGA design, specifically emphasizing digital signal processing (DSP)
• Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
• Proficiency with design tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, P-Spice, or Agilent ADS
• Willingness to travel 5% to 10%

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong familiarity with GPS module design and topology
• Advanced experience with high-speed analog design methodologies
• Proficiency with DO-254 design standards
• Experience with FPGA design tools such as Xilinx ISE, Xilinx EDK, and ModelSim
