Lead Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Intermediate Quantity Surveyors to ensure effective cost control and spend management
• Ensure payments comply with contracting reimbursement principles, including schedules of rates and bills of quantity
• Monitor anticipated final project costs and provide cost management advice to project teams
• Oversee variations, monthly cashflow forecasting, retention, and liquidated damages
• Develop and maintain cost management strategies, processes, and policies
• Review contractor Key Performance Indicators for cost and budget management
• Support the response to contractor claims and provide expertise on construction contract disputes
• Review monthly valuations, variation orders, and final accounts of packages

Requirements

• 15+ years of professional experience
• 3+ years of experience within the aviation or transport infrastructure industry
• Strong understanding of construction contract commercial documents, drawings, and specifications
• Proven experience delivering technically complex and high-value infrastructure projects
• Experience in a consultancy, client, or contractor organization
• Knowledge of cost management principles, methods, and standard methods of measurement
