Lead QA Engineer

Responsibilities

• Be the technical lead for QA on complex engagements, owning test strategy and automation approach
• Architect, build, and evolve automation frameworks
• Solve hard technical problems including test architecture, flaky tests, and CI/CD integration
• Drive shift-left practices by embedding quality into requirements and design
• Design and execute test strategies across UI, functional, integration, API, accessibility, and regression testing
• Mentor and elevate QA engineers through hands-on collaboration
• Innovate using AI tools to accelerate testing workflows
• Communicate technical recommendations and trade-offs to clients and stakeholders

Requirements

• Proven track record in automation architecture and technical problem-solving
• Proficiency in Playwright and TypeScript
• Experience designing automation frameworks from scratch
• Ability to work across the full stack (Web, Native Apps, APIs, backends, logs, data)
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Windsurf
• Strong understanding of CI/CD and modern delivery pipelines
• Experience working in Agile Scrum environments
• Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and developers

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building AI-powered testing capabilities
• Experience working across distributed teams
• Contributions to open-source tooling or frameworks
