Lead Python Engineer

Responsibilities

• Balance hands-on engineering with team leadership and mentoring a small team of 1–2 engineers
• Own the technical direction of your squad
• Design and build robust data pipelines, APIs, and services
• Participate in architectural discussions to evolve the data platform for the US market
• Maintain high standards for code quality and scalability

Requirements

• Deep, modern Python expertise with clean, idiomatic, and well-tested code
• Solid understanding of FastAPI or a comparable modern Python web framework
• Strong automated testing skills (unit, integration, and functional)
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes
• Ability to drive technical decisions and communicate with stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a cross-functional or data-focused engineering environment
• Interest in leading or mentoring engineers
