About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and manage complex technical proposals ranging from short letter offers to 100+ page documents
- Analyze RFP requirements and ensure compliance with company and client specifications
- Collaborate with technical, sales, finance, and engineering teams to create compelling, competitive proposals
- Interpret commercial requirements and technical specifications to support winning proposal strategies
- Coordinate activities involved in the development and revision of all proposals, acting as a liaison with the Contracts Department when needed
- Obtain bids from outside suppliers and contractors and manage the Quote System/CRM updates
- Prepare status reports, briefings, and participate in proposal reviews with management
- Support negotiations with clients after an offer has been submitted
Requirements
- 4-6 years of proposal development experience within a technical field
- B.S. degree in a technology field, Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Science (CS), or Nuclear Engineering
- Strong writing, editing, and analytical skills
- Experience with government contracting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products for proposal creation and price estimation
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the software industry
- Proven ability to lead teams on large, complex proposal projects
