About the role

Responsibilities

  • Execute product development for subsystems of mechanically modulated scroll compressors, including components, motors, bearings, and pressure vessels.
  • Provide technical thought leadership and guidance to global, multi-functional product development teams.
  • Mentor and advise less experienced engineers throughout the new product development process.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, quality, and manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues and meet product requirements.
  • Develop and implement testing plans focused on risk mitigation and efficiency.
  • Apply Lean principles and techniques to optimize the New Product Development process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
  • 7+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong project management skills, including schedule development and decision driving.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication across all organizational levels.
  • Basic working knowledge of advanced analytical techniques.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering.
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Prior experience in the HVAC/R industry.
  • Experience developing high-speed rotating equipment.
  • Deep domain expertise in applied physics, machine design, thermodynamics, or materials science.
  • Experience with LEAN methodologies and continuous improvement.
