About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of multiple phases for pressurant and propellant component projects, including tanks, pressure switches, filters, regulators, transducers, and valves.
  • Collaborate across engineering, operational, quality, and supply chain functions to ensure successful component completion.
  • Manage technical, cost, and schedule aspects of projects using Earned Value Management principles.
  • Develop and implement propulsion production processes, tooling, equipment design, and material evaluation plans.
  • Develop and monitor project plans consistent with overall program plans and command media.
  • Brief management and support program managers in briefing customers on all facets of assigned projects.
  • Travel up to 20% to suppliers and other production sites as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 9+ years of relevant engineering experience, OR
  • Graduate Degree with 7+ years of relevant engineering experience, OR
  • 13+ years of relevant engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security clearance.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (CREO) and PLM systems (Windchill).
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing application.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience with government propulsion customers and prime contractors.
  • Experience leading MRB meetings and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Familiarity with fusion welding procedures (laser or electron-beam).
  • Experience with liquid rocket engine thrusters, valves, or small hypergolic propulsion systems.
  • Experience working as an Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL).
  • Experience in failure/anomaly investigations and evaluating component environment test results.
