Lead Professional, Water Resources Engineering

Responsibilities

• Apply hydraulic principles for water supply infrastructure planning, including model build, calibration, and system performance assessments.
• Use Innovyze WSPro to support zone management plans, water supply strategies, and demand management.
• Ensure model accuracy by verifying GIS, SCADA, field data, and growth projections.
• Produce high-calibre technical reports and presentations for clients.
• Lead and review the work of junior colleagues, providing technical coaching and mentoring.
• Manage technical risks and ensure assignments are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Support project proposals, bids, and fee estimates.
• Liaise with sector leadership and peer groups across India and New Zealand.

Requirements

• Master or Bachelor degree in Water Resource Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a similar field.
• 12+ years of experience in hydraulic modelling for large-scale water supply infrastructure projects.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience using Autodesk Innovyze WSPro.
• Membership in a professional body such as CIWEM or ICE (Chartered status preferred).
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Experience with international projects (AU/NZ, UK, US, or ME) is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional expertise in wastewater or flood modelling using Autodesk Innovyze ICM or Tuflow.
• Proficiency in API programming (RubyScript), SQL, or VBS scripting for automation.
• Experience with Bentley WaterGEMS, ArcGIS, Civil 3D, or HEC-RAS.
