Lead Production Operator

Responsibilities

• Lead the production line with a hands-on approach, providing direction and setting expectations for the team
• Manage daily production activities, assign tasks, and hold team members accountable for performance
• Ensure production goals for output, quality, and efficiency are met
• Perform manual operations including line feeding, filling, labeling, packing, capping, and palletizing
• Operate and troubleshoot machinery by making mechanical adjustments to minimize downtime
• Train new employees and provide ongoing support to team members
• Conduct quality inspections and report deviations to the Production Manager and Quality Team
• Assist with line changeovers to ensure smooth transitions between production orders
• Maintain accurate paperwork and documentation in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
• Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency

Requirements

• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate team members
• Strong attention to detail regarding paperwork and documentation
• Effective written communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions precisely and adhere to established procedures
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds
• Consistent punctuality and reliable attendance

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience
• Experience with automation and bottle-filling equipment
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills
