About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate offshore process safety design activities from conceptual stages through detailed design for medium to large-scale projects.
  • Act as the single focal point for planning, supervising, and ensuring the quality of safety engineering assigned to the project.
  • Conduct, organize, and facilitate technical workshops including PHA, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and LOPA.
  • Develop and check technical deliverables such as calculations, data sheets, technical notes, specifications, and drawings.
  • Perform hazard and risk management, including fire and explosion analysis, dispersion analysis, and fire protection studies.
  • Provide technical leadership to ensure all client, KBR, and international standards and procedures are correctly applied.
  • Integrate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, designers, and technical personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Process Safety or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Offshore Process Safety within the Oil & Gas, Hydrocarbons, or Infrastructure industries.
  • Valid Engineering Degree Qualification from a government-recognized institution.
  • Deep technical knowledge of PHA, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and LOPA methodologies.
  • Proficiency in English, both oral and written, with excellent technical presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of international codes, standards, and engineering practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in the GCC region, specifically with Saudi Aramco standards.
  • Experience with firewater demand calculations, equipment requirements, and industrial drainage design.
  • Familiarity with NFPA requirements and associated Saudi Aramco standards.
